What is a hydraulic press with moving bolster?
It is a hydraulic press whose bed (bolster) rolls out of the press frame on rails. Dies are loaded by crane onto the open bolster outside the press, then the bolster drives back in and locks in position. This makes die loading faster and far safer than working inside a fixed-bed press.
What is a die spotting press used for?
Die spotting means checking and correcting the contact between the two halves of a stamping die or mould (blue-matching). A die spotting press closes the die slowly under fine control so the toolmaker can see contact marks and correct high spots — essential for new dies and after die repair.
Can the same press do SMC moulding?
Yes. With heated platens and cure-pressure control, the same moving bolster platform works as an SMC/BMC compression moulding press. SOKIM configures tonnage, platen heating and controls to your composite part.
What sizes are available?
Our proven build is 250 ton with a 1.8m × 3m bolster, and we build up to 1000 ton with custom bed sizes, daylight and controls — each press is made to order for your dies.
